I'm a Southern Gal who loves to cook! I live in beautiful North Carolina with my husband and three precious children. I have many interests and hobbies, but I especially enjoy cooking for friends and family. As a youngun, as we say in the South, I always loved to help mama fix "from scratch biscuits", homemade pound cakes, and pretty much anything she would let me help her do. Cooking has become a passion and something that my husband, and now my daughter and I love to share. I've come a long ways...I can even make gravy like my Grandma Dorothy used to. Oh, this wasn't always the case. The first pan of gravy I made for my husband and me when we got married never made it to the table...poor dog! Well, I sure wasn't gonna let him tell me it looked like mortar mix even if it it did....and it did!! Thanks Daizy girl you saved me some "new wife" embarassment! And by the way....never trust a skinny cook!!
I hope to share some recipes, ideas for entertaining family and friends, and how to stay on budget with grocery shopping. I love to coupon...Lord, knows with 3 men in the house I've got to pinch pennies every chance I get on food and well pretty much anything!
